This unique jalapeño-type pepper from Fadda’s Peppers is prized for its ornamental appeal and mild flavor. Believed to be a natural jalapeño cross, it differs greatly from standard jalapeños in size and appearance. Plants display striking variegated foliage in green, cream, and purple, with purple stems and flowers. Compact plants produce small, curved, croissant-shaped pods rather than typical jalapeño-sized fruit. Pods start deep purple, then shift through multiple colors before ripening bright red, often showing several shades at once. Flavor is mild with gentle jalapeño heat and a slightly sweet pepper taste, making it ideal for fresh use, light cooking, or ornamental plantings.
