This Doublecross variety is a cross between Big Jim and Sandia Hot. It has the thick flesh of Big Jim and the increased heat of Sandia Hot. It can be flame roasted for immediate use, and frozen for later.

Only chiles grown in Hatch, New Mexico, and the surrounding Hatch Valley is actually considered a “Hatch Chile”.
