Black Bastard - (Capsicum chinense)
The Black Bastard was developed by Bryan Townshend. They start off black and ripen to a slightly red hue and dark red on the inside when fully ripe. Plants get 4-5 feet tall and vegetation is a beautiful dark purple. Extremely pretty variety! Still very unstable.
Heat level: 400,000 to 600,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot.
Flavor: Earthy but sweet and fruity.
Very vigorous plants. Super dark foliage big leaves and big thick stems. I have not got peppers from them yet but theyvare flowering at 70 days.
