Star Scream – (Capsicum chinense)

Star Scream is an extreme peach-colored superhot created by grower James Mallon, crossing Jay’s Red Ghost Scorpion with Yellow Carolina Reaper. This variety delivers brutal heat, aggressive scorpion tails, and heavily bumpy, gnarly pods that ripen from light green to a creamy peach. Plants grow in a classic chinense tree form and are productive despite the intense heat level. As the line matures, pod shapes become more consistent, often showing Reaper-like stingers and thick, textured walls. Heat is very high, firmly in superhot territory, with a fast-building, long-lasting burn. Beneath the fire is a light fruity flavor, making Star Scream ideal for extreme hot sauces, powders, and superhot blends. Late ripening but worth the wait, this is a pepper for experienced growers and serious heat seekers only.
