We finally have the new expanded grow room completed for the 2019 seedlings.
The room size is 18 x 10 feet.
The supplies to build the room and the table cost a little over $500 and the lighting and miscellaneous electronics cost a little over $600.
The most tedious part of the entire build was cutting the holes in the PVC for the cups. It took 30 -45 minutes to cut all the holes in each tube.
We tripled the size of the room this year and sealed every hole, crease and nook of the room with tape and expanding foam. Even though we increased the size it will be about as efficient as last year’s room keeping it a constant 75-80 degrees all winter long.
Each tube works like a giant double cup. It will save an enormous amount of time just in watering alone. Instead of watering each and every cup like in last year’s grow room we only have to lift one cup in each row and pore the nutrient solution which then travels down the length of the entire tube watering all 30 cups at once.
Now, time to get busy planting seeds.
